Nick Shiambouros was out of luck yesterday when his place selection was beaten a nose in to fourth at BSP 11.13. Nick hopes for better luck with two fancies from Musselburgh and Kempton...
"She clearly has ability, and a much improved effort is on the cards"
Back Trecco Bay at BSP in the 17:30 at Kempton
Le Chiffre to graduate
14:05 Musselburgh - Le Chiffre
Le Chiffre should open his account in this novice stakes.
This colt put in an improved effort when finishing second to Melody King at Thirsk last month. He kept on really well in the closing stages, and was gaining on the winner close home. His Dam has winning form in the conditions as does his sire. I think he has more to offer, and is fairly priced at 2.915/8 on the exchange.
Seasony is the obvious danger. He was a debut winner on the Polytrack at Chelmsford last month and should improve. He has to defy a penalty, and overcome the surface switch which could prove problematic. At present he is trading at 3.259/4 on the exchange.
Trecco to improve
17:30 Kempton - Trecco Bay
Trecco Bay should make her presence felt in this maiden.
This New Approach filly finished fifth to Rosa on debut over this course earlier this month. She completely missed the break, and was a mile behind in the early stages. Her rider gave her time to gather herself, and finished the race with good energy. She clearly has ability, and a much improved effort is on the cards. At present she is trading at 10.09/1 on the exchange.
Tambourine Girl was caught close home when attempting to make al when finishing third to Hot Touch over this course in July. She has plenty of pace, but this is not an easy course to make all and looks short enough at 2.3611/8 on the exchange. I will lay her in running at 1.51/2.
