"He is expected to go close here from the front, having been dropped a couple of lb from his last run."

12:10 - Champion Bumper winner SILVER CONCORDE (1) finally got off the mark over hurdles when making his debut for his new connections here in November, and though improvement will be required when he eventually makes the step into handicaps, he can defy a penalty in novice company here.

12:40 - Lady London and Apachee Prince finished first and second in a weak-looking contest here 18 days ago and could be worth taking on at the top of the market. Southern raider FRASER CANYON (3) is on a good mark on the best of his form (close second to On The Road at Fontwell last season) and perhaps hasn't had conditions in his favour so far this season, stretched by an extended three miles on his return, and unsuited by bottomless ground at Exeter last time. He is worth chancing.

13:10 - COUSIN OSCAR (1) is bred to be a chaser and looks set to be suited by stepping up to this trip for the first time today, both of which point to him posting an improved effort here. His yard are going very well at the moment (three-timer on Saturday) and Cousin Oscar should go close here.

13:40 - No reason to take on the short-priced SOME REIGN (1), who got within a couple of lengths of the exciting Beyond The Clouds on hurdling debut in October before winning a lesser contest last time. He has a penalty to shrug off here, but is well clear on ratings and should be hard to beat.

14:15 - This is much easier than the novice handicap that MAN LOOK (3) contested at Cheltenham last time, and with his win at Bangor on his penultimate start working out well (second won from a 5 lb higher mark next time out) he is expected to go close here from the front, having been dropped a couple of lb from his last run.

14:50 - DOKTOR GLAZ (2) definitely has a race or two in him from this sort of mark, and though it was a little disappointing that he was unable to get the job done at Wetherby last time (looked the winner before being overhauled late on), this sharper test should suit him.

15:20 - The unexposed Royal Mandate is probably the most interesting runner on his handicap debut following some promising runs in novice company, though there is a slight concern that he may be at his best over further than this (his sire produces plenty of stayers on the Flat).
