Nick Shiambouros was on the mark yesterday when his selection Palmers Hill won at a generous BSP 5.7. Nick hopes for further success with two fancies from Salisbury and Windsor...
"She is improving with racing, and should be suited by the shorter trip"
I am going to take a chance with Gift Of Hera in this interesting contest.
There was plenty to like about her latest effort when finishing fifth to Stream Song at HQ last month. She missed the break, but recovered quickly to lead the field until weakening out of contention two from home. She is improving with racing, and should be suited by the shorter trip. I think she will go close and is attractively priced at [6.4] on the exchange.
Newcomer Red Starlight must be considered. Her pedigree suggests she will handle the underfoot conditions, and represents high profile connections. At present she is trading at [4.4] on the exchange.
Holiday Girl sets a decent standard in this maiden.
This filly changed hands during the summer and has run creditably for new connections. On her latest start she finished second to Ashwass at Chepstow. The winner proved far too good, but kept on well to hold on to a place. She is the clear form choice and I will be surprised if she is beaten. At present she is trading at [2.18] on the exchange which is just about right.
Zilza is the second choice at [6.4]. She is winless in 12 starts, but does have bits and pieces of form in handicap company. She has a bit to find with the selection and may have to settle for a place.
