Nick Shiambouros ended the week with another winner when Lexington Place won. Nick returns with two selections from Windsor and Ripon...
"I think she is open to a fair bit of improvement and is attractively priced at [12.0] on the exchange"
Caramel a tasty dish
Caramel Curves could run well at a decent price in this interesting contest.
This filly finished down the field behind Stage Play over this course last month. She missed the break, but made a little progress in the closing stages without landing a blow. She is a half-sister to Cliffs Of Capri, who is a decent handicapper and won as a juvenile. I think she is open to a fair bit of improvement and is attractively priced at [12.0] on the exchange.
Lorton heads the market at [2.78] for in form trainer Julie Camacho. She is the horse to beat on the book, and was only just denied at Carlisle last month. She must be respected but her price is a little thin.
Slipper to score
King's Slipper should go close in this novice stakes.
This colt put in a much improved effort when finishing second to Power Of Darkness at Salisbury last month. He delivered a strong challenge a furlong from home, but the winner quickened past him and had to settle for a place. He is progressing nicely and is fairly priced at [4.0] on the exchange.
Anchises is the short priced favourite at [2.14] on the exchange. He caught the eye on debut when finishing third in a maiden at HQ last month. He had a chance a furlong from home, but failed to quicken when the chips were down. Improvement is expected but is priced accordingly.
