Bets Of The Day: Theatre Act to put on a show

Nick Shiambouros struck again yesterday when Kripke won. Nick returns with two strong fancies from the NH meeting at Southwell...
"I think she is ready to win and is well handicapped"
14:20 Southwell - Good Man Hughie
Good Man Hughie is well worth an interest in this handicap chase.
This lightly raced individual put in a much improved effort when finishing second to Lightentertainment at Lingfield last month. He was headed three from home, but kept on fairly well to hold on to the runner-up position. I think he is heading in the right direction, and is reasonably priced at 4.1 on the exchange.
Mondo Cane could give the selection most to do. He finished a close second to Glance Back at Leicester last month, and should have more to offer. He has a tendency to make the odd mistake, but must be respected nonetheless.
17:30 Southwell - Theatre Act
Theatre Act can get back to winning ways in this interesting contest.
This mare finished second to Princess Mononoke at Sedgefield in January. She was collared on the run to the final flight but finished clear of the third place finisher. She has been out of sorts for over a year, but this effort was encouraging. I think she is ready to win and is well handicapped. At present she is trading at 5.49/2 on the exchange.
Northern Girl heads the market at 3.45. She had the race at her mercy when coming to grief at Wetherby last month and is bound to be in the mix with a clear round.
