Nick Shiambouros hopes to start the new week with a couple of winners from Taunton and Wolverhampton...
"She does have to concede weight, but I believe she has a lot more to offer"
15:45 Taunton - Presidente Line
French raider Presidente Line is taken to win this mares only novices' hurdle.
This mare won a handicap hurdle at Pau last month. She took the lead over the last ,and pulled clear to win with complete authority. Trainer Alain Couetil would not send her for this race if he did not believe she had a legitimate chance. She does have to concede weight, but I believe she has a lot more to offer. At present she is trading at 5.14/1 on the exchange.
Duhallow Gesture is the favourite at 2.47/5 on the exchange. She was turned over at a short price when finishing second to The White Mouse at Lingfield last November, but brings some decent bumper form to the table. She is the main danger.
17:55 Wolverhampton - Oh This Is Us
Oh This Is Us should prove difficult to beat in this interesting contest.
This talented performer retains his form well and has been placed in Group company and is a two time Listed winner. Last October he finished an excellent second to Ostilio in a Group 2 at Longchamp, which reads very well in the context of this race. A reproduction of that effort would be good enough to take this. At present he is trading at 3.1511/5 on the exchange.
Arcanada won this race last year, and made all to beat Chevallier in a decent handicap at Lingfield last month. Similar front running tactics will probably be employed again, but the selection should be close enough to cover any move. At present he is trading at 2.982/1 on the exchange.
