Nick Shiambouros hopes to start the week with a couple of winners from Catterick and Leicester...
"There is no doubt he will appreciate the ease in grade, and the testing conditions should not pose a problem"
13:35 Catterick - Park Place
Park Place is an interesting runner in this maiden hurdle.
This gelding finished a creditable fourth to the improving Unbuckled at Doncaster earlier this month. He was headed two flights from home and emptied quickly on the flat.
I thought that was a promising effort and he is entitled to progress further. He is trading at 4.3100/30 on the exchange which is more than fair.
Will Take Charge could give the selection a race. He attracted support when finishing fourth in a bumper on debut at Worcester in September. He comes from a good jumping family, and should be ready to do himself justice on his hurdles debut.
His current price of 5.04/1 is just about right.
14:35 Leicester - Ballycross
Ballycross is worth an investment in this interesting novices' hurdle.
This point winner finished fifth to the talented Unowhatimeanharry at Cheltenham earlier this month. He was found wanting when the pace lifted, and could only stay on at one pace in the closing stages.
There is no doubt he will appreciate the ease in grade, and the testing conditions should not pose a problem.
He is currently trading at a generous 7.06/1 on the exchange and I have backed him at this price.
Bronco Billy is the market leader at 2.962/1. He finished second to Western Rules at Carlisle earlier this month and is bound to show improvement. Given his high profile connections, I will not be surprised if he is heavily backed.
Monday's Recommended Bets
