Raintree - Roscommmon 17:00

Raintree ran a race full of promise when sixth on her debut at the Curragh nine days ago and should go close for trainer Patrick Prendergast in what looks a less competitive heat this afternoon, with that outing likely to bring about plenty of improvement. Bronze Age looks best of the remainder, though Burmese Blazer is an interesting newcomer and could well place for the Ger Lyons yard that has won this race twice in the last three years.

World Stage - Roscommon 18:30

World Stage showed improved form when second on his most recent outing at Gowran Park, kicking on entering the straight and simply finding one too good late in the day. He certainly showed enough to suggest he is up to winning a race of this nature and is taken to do so in first-time blinkers this evening, with Giorni Felice an obvious danger if building on the promise of his debut at Galway recently.

Ace of Diamonds - Roscommon 19:30

Ace of Diamonds shaped encouragingly when fourth at Galway last time, forced to deliver his challenge from further back than ideal and doing well under the circumstances to be beaten just two and three quarter lengths. That form sets the standard on Timeform ratings here and he should prove tough to beat for the in-form Dermot Weld yard (four winners from his last 13 runners), with recent Ayr second Looking Good feared most of the remainder.
