12.55 Coolmore EBF Stallions 'National Hunt' Novices' Hurdle (Qualifier) (4) 2m

Timeform Top Rated
140p 1. CROOKS PEAK Philip Hobbs Richard Johnson
118 2. BADDESLEY PRINCE Chris Gordon Wayne Hutchinson

Analyst's Verdict:
Danny Kirwan beat a useful type in Pym (runner-up in a Grade 2 novice hurdle at Cheltenham recently) in a bumper on Rules debut here in February. His subsequent effort at Aintree was inauspicious but he remains an exciting prospect and is taken to lower the colours of Crooks Peak, for all that Philip Hobbs' charge has the benefit of hurdling experience. Baddesley Prince needs a big step forward.

1.30 Starlight Brightening Lives Beginners' Chase (4) 2¼m

Timeform Top Rated
157p 1. CHESTERFIELD Seamus Mullins Daniel Sansom (5)

Analyst's Verdict:
Chesterfield lacks the physical presence of Dell Oro, but he was superior over hurdles and has made a good start to his chase career, so he is expected to get off the mark in this sphere.

2.05 Olbg Mares' Hurdle (Listed) (1) 3m110y

Timeform Top Rated
158 2. IF YOU SAY RUN Paul Nicholls Harry Cobden
150 4. WHATZDJAZZ Dan Skelton Harry Skelton

Analyst's Verdict:
Mia's Storm can boast a superb strike rate when completing, and this is there for the taking on these advantageous terms. If You Say Run isn't totally straightforward, but she's pretty talented and can give Alan King's mare most to think about. 168 3. MIA'S STORM Alan King Wayne Hutchinson

2.35 Starlight Wishes Handicap Chase (Qualifier) (3) 2½m110y

Timeform Top Rated
144 2. SISTER SIBYL Hughie Morrison Brendan Powell
143 1. TOMMY SILVER Paul Nicholls Harry Cobden
142+ 8. ROLL THE DOUGH Philip Hobbs Richard Johnson

Analyst's Verdict:
Sister Sibyl shaped well in novice company on her return from a break last month and can show she's still ahead of her mark returned to handicap company. Tommy Silver is well capable off this mark on his peak efforts and heads the dangers along with the thriving Roll The Dough.

3.10 Starlight Happy Memories Handicap Hurdle (4) 3m110y

Timeform Top Rated
127 9. VERY EXTRAVAGANT Neil Mulholland Robert Dunne
126 7. IT'S GOT LEGS Gary Moore Jamie Moore
125 10. PLANTAGENET Seamus Mullins Daniel Sansom (5)

Analyst's Verdict:
It's Got Legs posted a good second on his handicap debut at Ascot last month and is bred to appreciate this longer trip. He can go one better here. Plantagenet and No Hiding Place are others to consider.

3.40 Starlight Children's Services Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle (3) 2m

Timeform Top Rated
135 6. FAIRWAY FREDDY Nick Gifford Rex Dingle (3)
134 2. NYLON SPEED Alan King Fergus Gregory
133 5. MONDAY CLUB Dominic Ffrench Davis Alan Doyle (5)

Analyst's Verdict:
It was hard not be impressed by the way Fairway Freddy did the job on his handicap debut at Wincanton on Thursday and, turned out again quickly under a penalty here, he will take plenty of stopping. Sao will be a threat if settling better but, as things stand, the selection may have most to fear from the Alan King-trained duo Mick Maestro and Nylon Speed.
