Nick Shiambouros starts the new week with a couple of selections from the evening meeting at Windsor...
"I think he is open to a fair bit of improvement and I will be surprised if he does not go close"
17:55 Windsor - Grey Galleon
Grey Galleon should be good enough to take this maiden.
This colt caught the eye on debut when finishing fourth to Kyllang Rock over this course earlier this month. He showed signs of inexperience throughout, but finished the race willingly and was not beaten all that far.
I think he is open to a fair bit of improvement and I will be surprised if he does not go close. He is trading at 3.259/4 on the exchange and I have backed him at that price.
Debutant Tschierschen is a solid second choice at 3.65. This Acclamation filly comes from a speedy family and is related to plenty of winners. She is bound to attract support, but I am concerned that she is running with headgear on her first start.
18:25 Windsor - Moi Moi Moi
Moi Moi Moi could run well at a big price in this interesting maiden.
This colt finished sixth to Mr Hobbs on debut at Newbury earlier this month. He held every chance two furlongs from home, but was found wanting when the pace lifted. He did not appear to be fully wound up for this, and is entitled to show improvement.
The stable is going well at the moment and he is well worth an interest at his current price of 13.5 on the exchange.
Mr Pocket is the short priced favourite at 2.26/5. He finished an excellent second on debut and must be respected.
