Mon Eldorado was easy to back when finishing last of nine on reappearance at Wincanton at the beginning of the month, adding to the unconvincing profile that he's built up for himself. Admittedly, that's not an ideal starting point in an entry that's supposed to tip him, but he reportedly bled last time out, and, having been dropped another 3 lb, he arrives here off a career-low mark. He sets the standard on what he's been able to show in the peak of his powers, and considering how poor this race is, he could be worth chancing to return to form, with any market strength this morning a big positive. Silk Run, on the back of wind surgery, and Picture Painter head the dangers.

Stephanie Sunshine - Chepstow 15:10

This doesn't look a deep novice contest, meaning that Stephanie Sunshine makes plenty of appeal. She has her limitations, but the pick of what she's shown in handicap company so far sets a clear standard in here, and she should prove very difficult to stop on these terms. Influential Lady is capable of getting involved now hurdling, with Lady Marwah also a player, for all this step up in trip is a surprising move.

Southfield Harvest - Chepstow 17:30

An interesting finale. It's undoubtable that Southfield Harvest is bred to be a staying chaser in time, but he made an encouraging start to finish third in a similar contest at Exeter last month, and there's no reason to think that he can't pick up a race while plying his trade in this sphere - particularly when you considering that he has the benefit of experience here, against three rivals making their debuts. Speaking of which, Piggy Winkle's dam was a triple winner in this sphere and he represents a powerful yard, so he's a newcomer to monitor closely in the betting.
