#11 Bold Fortune - Turffontein R5 (13:30)

Bold Fortune belied big odds to finish a close second on debut back in June, and she built on that to run out a comfortable winner at Turffontein last time, pulling three and a half lengths clear of her elders. She sets the clear standard in this contest and should take plenty of beating. Smiley River gets the vote for second, while Jacko Boy makes up the shortlist.

#4 Captain Chorus - Turffontein R6 (14:05)

Captain Chorus has been there or thereabouts of late, and he actually put up arguably his best performance to date when two lengths fourth at the Vaal last time. He is a consistent performer and holds solid claims on these terms. Rocky Path and Shabba Ranks looks the pick of the remainder.

#3 Holy Man - Turffontein R8 (15:15)

Holy Man bounced back to winning ways when landing a warm Turffontein handicap last month, pulling nicely clear of the remainder of the field, including reopposing rival Silver Master. The selection should have enough to confirm those placings, even from a revised mark. Money Fighter can chase home the two main protagonists.
