Mambo Tango has been found what looks like a straightforward opportunity by trainer Alan Greeff, and if the Mambo In Seattle gelding can repeat his recent length and a quarter second to Heir To Riches here over the mile, he ought to win this with the minimum of fuss. Blinkers will probably be added to aid his focus which should be enough to see Mambo Tango come home in front under top jockey Greg Cheyne.
Nordic Leader has taken a while to get the hang of things, out of the placings in his first five races, but seems to be more clued up now. Last time out here over a furlong and a half further he was only beaten a short head and if Nordic Leader can repeat that run in this field he looks by far the likeliest winner, having also finished a length third over C&D in mid-May.
Favour's Pride arrives here in the form of her life after two wins and six places in her last eight starts, with a length and three quarter victory over Story Of My Life last Friday here over a furlong further. That was a Class A Stakes race so she is dropping in class today and as the handicapper has left her on the same mark, Favour's Pride must have every chance of her fifth win here for trainer Corne Spies and jockey Matthew Thackeray.
