Nick Shiambouros returns with two selections from the meeting at Wolverhampton...
"She has enough speed in her pedigree and should go close at a fair price for her astute conditioner"
13:55 Wolverhampton - Epsom Bay
Epsom Bay should go close in his first venture in to handicap company.
This Teofilio colt put in an improved effort when finishing fifth to Race Day at Lingfield last month. He put in some good work in the closing stages, and came home with good energy.
I think he is ready to move forward again and is the horse to beat. He is trading at 2.588/5 on the exchange which is just about right.
Sailor's Way appears to be the main danger. He finished a respectable fourth to the promising Wajeez at Nottingham, and is also making his handicap debut.
The Appleby yard is in good form at present and this colt must merit consideration.
15:25 Wolverhampton - Courtsider
Courtsider could be ready to win on debut for trainer Lucy Wadham.
This Kylachy filly went through the ring for 10,000gns as a yearling. She comes from a good family, and is a half-sister to Kashmir Peak who was once rated at 92 on the flat.
She has enough speed in her pedigree and should go close at a fair price for her astute conditioner. At present she is trading at 4.57/2 on the exchange.
The current favourite is Never Change who is trading at 2.0621/20. She showed promise behind Dreamlike at Lingfield last year for Godolphin, but was recently sold for a modest amount at the sales.
She clearly has a chance, but represents poor value on her first start for David Evans.
Moon Eyes represents the Haggas yard. This filly sets a fair standard and could give the selection most to do.
