Timeform pick out three bets from Flamingo Park on Monday.
"...the son of Querari has been a different animal since switching to the sand..."
Timeform on Desert Wisdom
Raving Rocket already has the form in the book unlike her rivals here, and can win this for trainer Corne Spies and jockey Donovan Yeo. A solid neck second on her sand debut over course and distance was followed by a second again, this time behind runaway ten length winner and stable companion Andalusian, but there doesn't appear to be anything of that class in this field. With the third over four lengths back, the form looks good enough to suggest Raving Rocket will have too much speed for them here.
Desert Wisdom has been in ridiculous form lately with three wins and a second from his last four starts, and the son of Querari has been a different animal since switching to the sand. He took a similar race over course and distance by a very easy length and a quarter when last seen in March, and it seems unlikely a five-pound rise from the handicapper will be enough to stop Desert Wisdom now.
Joe's Joy finally got off the mark at the tenth attempt last time out on only his second start on the sand over this course and distance early last month, but did so with any amount up his sleeve and looked the sort to go on from that. Up six pounds this afternoon for his handicap debut he still looks on a sensible mark, and with more to come and the Corrie Lensley stable in good form, Joe's Joy may well be able to double up this afternoon.
