African Beat has run well on both of his starts for Richard Hughes and could benefit from professional handling here (raced freely under a 7 lb claimer last time), so gets the nod back at the scene of her maiden success last winter. La Vie En Rose wasn't herself at Beverley last time but had been steadily progressive prior to that and may provide the main threat ahead of the consistent Monaco Rose.
Big Tour was possibly just outstayed on heavy ground at Newbury last time over ten furlongs but is progressing nicely all the same and should be able to get back to winning ways here, now back in trip and with promising apprentice David Egan taking off 5 lb. Commodity's winning run came to an end last time but he could easily get back on the up after a short break, while Wind In My Sails shaped nicely when third at Newbury last time and is also respected.
Dusky Maid won easily over six furlongs here last week and a 6 lb penalty doesn't look enough to stop her going in again if turning up in the same form, with a draw in stall 2 looking ideal to adopt front-running tactics again. Flourishing failed to progress as expected when third on her handicap debut last time but she remains with potential after only 4 starts, while Many A Tale is also lightly raced and returns to the scene of her debut success.
