Nick Shiambouros struck again yesterday when his heavily backed selection Woven won. Nick hopes to start the new week with a couple of winners from Chelmsford...
"This son of Exchange Rate is improving with racing and should make a bold bid"
Back Rockshore in the 17:45 at Chelmsford
Rock should be tough
17:45 Chelmsford - Rockshore
I am going to side with Rockshore in this novice auction stakes.
This colt finished a close second to Buckingham over this course last month. He ran on really well inside the final furlong, but could not get to grips with the game winner. This son of Exchange Rate is improving with racing and should make a bold bid. At present he is trading at [4.9] on the exchange.
Balladeer is the obvious danger. He ran well on debut when finishing fourth behind Indian Viceroy at HQ last month. Improvement is expected, but looks a little short in the market at [2.78].
Invincible the One
18:15 Chelmsford - Invincible One
Invincible One is taken to upset the short priced favourite in this novice stakes.
This colt put in a much improved effort when finishing fifth to Flashcard at Salisbury last month. He made most of the running, until running out of petrol well inside the final furlong. I thought that was a super effort and should move forward again. At present he is trading at [8.2] on the exchange which is more than fair.
Fognini is trading at [1.92] on the exchange. He is a two time turf winner in this company, but has to concede weight all around. He deserves his position at the head of the market, but I have zero interest in backing him at this price.
