"The way he stayed on that day suggests the longer trip here will see him in an even better light..."

Timeform on Psychedelic Rock

14:15 - MILLE NAUTIQUE (1) wasn't the most consistent for Alan King, but he returns for another successful yard and has a lower hurdles mark to work with, so could be the answer to this opening leg of the Placepot. The Trigger tasted success at Perth last month and has to be feared, while St Andrews can also be a factor in re-fitted headgear.

14:45 - YENSIR (1) beat a subsequent winner in dominant fashion at Stratford last time and has outstanding claims of getting the hat-trick up if his stamina lasts out over this new trip, with no obvious reason why it shouldn't. Stylish Dancer would probably have won but for a late mistake last time and can give the selection most to do.

15:20 - DIPLOMATICO (10) cut little ice in three starts over hurdles, but he showed much more when midfield on his chase debut at Stratford last month, and given he stands out as the unexposed type with potential for better still, he makes most appeal for Placepot purposes here. Citadel is a danger judged on the way he shaped for Dan Skelton, as is Agentleman for all that he isn't straightforward.

15:50 - DR MOLONEY (3) is yet to score over fences, but he looks well treated on his debut for Olly Murphy and the booking of Richard Johnson could be significant. He is just preferred to last year's winner Miss Conway, who fared much better than of late at Hexham last month. Monar Rose is next best.

16:20 - WHOSHOTWHO (5) was well backed and wasted no time getting back to form when second on his chasing debut at Uttoxeter last month, making smooth headway in the back straight and keeping on well thereafter to come up just a length short at the line. He has a 2 lb higher mark to contend with here, but is entitled to improve with that experience under his belt and looks to have been found a good opportunity to get off the mark over fences, representing the Dr Richard Newland yard that has won two of the last five renewals of this race.

16:55 - PSYCHEDELIC ROCK (5) proved better than ever when a close-up second at Worcester last time, finishing strongly and only just failing to reel in one who is thriving. The way he stayed on that day suggests the longer trip here will see him in an even better light, and he really should take all the beating under Tom O'Brien, still well treated from just 1 lb higher than last time and with the Ian Williams team in fine form of late judged by recent results on the Flat (four winners from last 10 runners).

17:25 - CAPE HIDEAWAY (2) has been in good form under both codes and goes well for Emma Todd. He looks the safest option in the finale. King Muro will be dangerous if straighter for his recent return to action, whilst Hexham scorer Back To Balloo also enters calculations.
