Through The Card: Lingfield, Wednesday 10 April
Timeform take you through the card at Lingfield on Wednesday...
"...she gets the vote to make it fifth time lucky."
Timeform on Sussudio
14:20 - THREE C'S (5) ran well over a furlong shorter than this to finish third on his most recent start at Chelmsford in February, only getting headed inside the final furlong, meaning that today's return to a mile should suit. He arrives here just 1 lb higher than for his C&D win here in November, and considering he has held his form well since, he could be ready to return to winning ways. The in-form Clement is a big danger on his second start for Marjorie Fife, while Sir Jamie is another to consider in an open heat.
14:50 - The second race on the card almost looks as open as the first, and it is GARTH ROCKETT (4) who makes the most appeal. He justified strong market support to sign off his year with a win over C&D last November, and he ran with credit after 12 weeks off on his most recent start at Chelmsford in January, only being beaten in the final furlong. The highly promising and in-form Cieren Fallon retakes the ride from Shane Kelly here, and Garth Rockett can make a winning start for Mike Murphy off just 2 lb higher than his last winning mark. Rewaayat could prove to be well-treated on handicap debut and is the obvious danger for the in-form Charlie Hills team.
15:25 - ATTAINMENT (6) finished his two-year-old campaign with an improved effort to get off the mark over C&D back in October, putting his experience to good use and making a decisive move to quicken clear two furlongs out, before always holding on at the line. He's now switched to handicap company for his reappearance, and his opening BHA-mark of 79 looks a lenient one when you consider that there ought to be more to come from him yet. Shanghai Grace and Winter Light head the dangers.
15:55 - A competitive-looking claimer in which a narrow preference is for STEELRIVER (5). He's been running respectably in three starts since ending his long losing run at Wolverhampton in February, and ought to go well here on these terms. It Must Be Faith, Lucky Lodge and Wiff Waff are three others to consider now switched to this company, though.
16:30 - SUSSUDIO (11) was unlucky not to open her account on handicap debut over C&D last month, leaving her previous efforts behind to finish second, and only just failing to get up having made her effort late in the day. Raised just 4 lb for that, she looks one to be in interested in once again, particularly with more improvement looking likely, and she gets the vote to make it fifth time lucky. Velvet Moon got off the mark in novice company at Kempton last time and is one to consider now handicapping.
17:00 - Plenty of these have patchy profiles, meaning it may be worth siding with JAMAICAN JILL (2). She ran her best race yet to finish second over this trip at Chelmsford last time, and, raised just 2 lb for that, she's on a particularly interesting mark if able to back that effort up here. Lady Alavesa is now just 4 lb higher than her last winning mark and is a big threat, while Dream World is another with claims.
17:35 - SO HIGH (3) sets a clear standard on the back of the two efforts he's shown so far, and he strikes as the type who will relish the step up to a mile and a half. With improvement a certainty, he can't be opposed here and is taken to get off the mark at the third time of asking. Autumn Pride can edge out Revamp for minor honours.
