14:00 - OUTOFTHEQUESTION (6) shaped as if retaining ability back in this code at Kempton last month, not seen to best effect having been left poorly placed, ultimately never landing a blow. That run should have put some sharpness on him, though, and he should be closer to form this time. Rakematiz is likely to give another good account, while Music Major remains well treated on old form and is another to consider.
14:35 - MOFTRIS (3) was well fancied on his debut at Chelmsford earlier this month, but he failed to fire, proving very green beforehand and during the race. That wasn't the strongest race of its type, either, but Moftris is a well-bred type who seems sure to leave that initial experience behind now. Furthermore, both his trainer and jockey have a good strike rate at this track, so a big run is expected. Fields of Athenry and Metatron have both already won races and should prove competitive also.
15:10 - This looks a competitive contest and NONIOS (2), who goes well for this capable claimer, returned to winning ways and proved at least as good as ever when coming out on top in a mile and a quarter handicap at this course last month, value for a little extra, too. He has since shaped as though still in good form and, though the drop back to a mile is a slight concern, Nonios has a good record round here and should give another good account now reunited with this rider. The thriving Executive Force and Sha La La La Lee also come into consideration.
15:45 - MERHOOB (6) was unlucky not to follow up his Wolverhampton win back there two weeks ago, having to wait for a gap and only just failing, and he will remain of interest from this sort of mark. George Bowen wasn't far behind the selection on his comeback that day and remains unexposed on AW, while Royal Birth ended his losing run in good style over C&D three weeks ago.
16:20 - SUNDIATA (6) was unable to justify favouritism in a Wolverhampton novice last time but still appeals as being well treated from an opening mark in the low-60s and is worth another chance. Sussudio wasn't far behind the selection last time and is another who could go on to better things now handicapping. Griggy and last month's Wolverhampton scorer Eye of The Water are also respected.
16:55 - Admittedly, CAT ROYALE (7) isn't the most prolific winner, but his last win did come over this C&D, and he is only 2 lb higher than that mark now returning from a break. This looks an open handicap as well, so given that John Butler has a good record with his horses returning from a break, he could be worth chancing at the prices despite a wide draw. SUBLIMINAL (2) could enjoy the run of the race again from a handy inside stall and might be capable of defying a small rise for his recent C&D success, so is another to keep on side.
