"...a further 7 lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent him completing the 5-timer."

Timeform on Matchmaking

17:10 - MATCHMAKING (1) was merely shaken up to make it 4 in a row at Wolverhampton last time and a further 7 lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent him completing the 5-timer. Last month's Windsor scorer El Borracho could be the one to follow him home.

17:45 - SPIRIT OF APPIN (8) ran to a pretty useful level when pulling 7 lengths clear of the remainder when runner-up on her Chelmsford return and ought to take a bit of stopping with further improvement likely. Salisbury runner-up Respectable is the obvious danger.

18:15 - There was a lot to like about GLOBAL WARNING's (2) debut third in what was probably a pretty decent race at Doncaster last month and he's the one to beat with more to come. Wiretap, who also contested a good race on his debut, is the choice of Oisin Murphy from the Qatar Racing pair and could be the one to follow Ed Dunlop's charge home.

18:45 - SLIPSTREAM (5) has been bought by connections who have a very good record with new recruits and he's taken to strike under Luke Morris. Quick Recovery was back to winning ways over 6f here last week and will be a threat if seeing out the longer trip. The lightly-raced Mostly Green also makes the shortlist after a decent third here last time.

19:15 - DEVILS ROC (1) has gone up 6 lb for her Ffos Las second but that is offset by her rider's claim and she'll surely go close as that Ffos Las run appeals as good form for the level. Sesame is a likely improver now switching to nurseries after a break, while Amazing Fox is another who could easily leave her previous efforts behind now handicapping.

19:45 - The most appealing of these is ANONYMOUS JOHN (2), who was runner-up in a better-class handicap than this at Sandown last time and should prove a tough nut to crack back at this trip off the same mark. Vegas Boy deservedly got his head back in front at Windsor and is likely be thereabouts once again but Desert Fox is marginally preferred for forecast purposes.

20:15 - A low-grade minor event, and it will be a big surprise if AALIYA (2) doesn't confirm debut promise and land the odds. Dream For Life seemed to show more last time and is probably the one for the forecast spot, ahead of Resolution.
