13:15 - FARL (5) is bred to be much better than an opening mark of 53 - closely related to some nice types, including smart 6f-9f winner Coprah - and is worth supporting here given she has seemingly been brought along with handicaps in mind. She wasn't at all knocked about dropped to 6f for her qualifying run at this course last time, and the return to a mile should be in her favour on both pedigree and run style. Ed Walker has a good record with such types and it will be disappointing if she doesn't go close in a moderate race. She's preferred to Chelmsford-winner Hidden Dream and Multitask.
13:45 - IGNATIUS (6) was a big eye-catcher when third on his handicap debut at Kempton last month, arguably given too much to do settled in the rear but keeping on well in the closing stages, and he is taken to open his account now having since been gelded. Keep It Country TV is the only previous winner in the field and seems sure to go well again. Miss Green Dream could yet pick up a race after her fourth in a similar event 3 weeks ago that looks solid form.
14:20 - AXEL JACKLIN (1) isn't favoured by the weights against the likes of Grandstand and Pleasant Gesture, but he didn't do much wrong when runner-up in first-time blinkers last week, just unlucky to have bumped into one, and recent form can count for plenty at this level.
14:55 - DELAGATE THE LADY (12) has run well in similar events the last twice, catching the eye with the ground she made up over C&D last week, and she could open her account granted luck in-running and a stronger pace. Brockey Rise seems sure to go well again, as does Prominna, who is having his first go over six furlongs at this track with the form figures of his last four runs over five furlongs here reading 1121.
15:25 - There are some potential improvers in this line-up but it is hard to see past HARVEY DENT (3) who sets a good standard on his debut third over a mile at this course last month. That race is working out well with the second winning next time and, although he failed to build on that right away when only fourth over the same C&D last time, it could be that was a better race than it first looked. The first, second and sixth have all won their next starts and, if coming back to the sort of form he showed on debut, he should prove a tough nut to crack here. Colony Queen is feared most following her promising debut at Wolverhampton earlier this month.
15:55 - MOUCHEE (5) has a good record round here, and deservedly got his head back in front with the visor back on over C&D last month, producing a career best from out of the blue. There was little about that performance to say it was a fluke, either, Mouchee travelling well before making progress out wide round the bend, produced to lead inside the final furlong and asserting. He is just 2 lb higher in the weights now and has a good conditional booked, so another bold display is expected. Attain is a regular round here and is feared the most.
