Timeform take you through the card at Lingfield on Friday afternoon...
"...found the trip too far at Kempton last time and was perhaps unlucky not to beat Easy Tiger over this C&D the time before..."
13:30 - MISS MINUTY (1) continues in good form under her young claimer and can notch up a third win of the winter at this venue. With no Mississippi Miss to contend with, French Mix could be in the hunt starting out for an in-form yard, while Assanilka ran well in defeat over a mile and a quarter here last time and should be suited by the drop back in trip today.
14:05 - This could prove to be another good oportunity for Captain Lars (clear on Timeform ratings) to add another win to his tally, however his recent improvement has come over shorter trips. Wolverhampton winner Outer Space is respected, however it is VARSOVIAN (4) who gets the nod. He has a good record over C&D and should relish a return to the track after failing to fire at Chelmsford last time.
14:35 - Charlie Appleby has enjoyed a good start to 2018 and his newcomer BRODERIE (6) is taken to make a successful debut. Firlinfeu is interesting starting out for Mark Johnston, while Craving is looking vulnerable in these events all of a sudden. Of more interest is SOCIOLOGIST (3) who badly needed the experience when fourth to Desert Wind over C&D; he looks the type who will improve.
15:05 - The smart WATERSMEET (4) rarely runs a bad race on AW and should prove difficult to beat on these terms. He is likely to be ridden prominently, which should work to his advantage in a race where there isn't too much pace. Sandro Botticelli and Zafayan were both capable of useful form for their previous yards and the market should reveal expectations.
15:40 - Wolverhampton debut winner REIFFA (3) failed to meet expectations at Chelmsford two weeks ago but she remains a useful prospect and is hard to oppose in this company. Nomorecalls looks the only realistic threat, though he wasn't able to replicate the improvement shown here when beaten at Newcastle last time.
16:15 - ELTEZAM (5) found the trip too far at Kempton last time and was perhaps unlucky not to beat Easy Tiger over this C&D the time before, so could be the answer. Lawless Secret remains relatively unexposed and is another to consider, as is the well-handicapped Dutch Uncle, for all that he didn't fare any better at Chelmsford last time.
