14:10 - WILLWAMS (6) is drawn to attack and makes plenty of appeal in this grade given his unexposed profile. He had nothing to spare at the line when winning a claimer here in March, but given the stamina in his pedigree is likely to have more to offer as he tackles further, and the extra furlong here today could bring about more improvement.

14:40 - TIME'S ARROW (6) sets the standard here on his second over C&D last month, and provided that he is able to get a reasonable pitch from his wide draw, should go close to breaking his duck. Andrew Balding has run three debutant three-year-olds so far this season and all three have made the frame, which bodes well for the chances of KNOW THE TRUTH (8), who will probably be better over further than this, but does make appeal on pedigree.

15:10 - Noble Deed will go close if in the same sort of form as when second over C&D nine days ago, but he doesn't have the most reliable profile overall, and at the prices it could be worth chancing MAD ENDEAVOUR (1), who could be hard to catch if making a sharp break from stall 1. Though he has done most of his racing on turf (won at Goodwood and Epsom last season), he is a former winner on the all-weather (at Wolverhampton), and hasn't had many starts on artificial surfaces. His yard are amongst the winners (with runners coming off a break) and Mad Endeavour makes appeal here.

15:40 - Plenty of pace on here, and there is possibility that the likes of Monumental Man, Highly Sprung, Brother Tiger and Mossgo could go hard up front. If the prominent racers overdo it, hold-up horse VIMY RIDGE (7) could be seen to good effect. His second to subsequent winner Verne Castle over C&D in February reads well and he has been dropped 2 lb in the weights since then. DUNGANNON (1) is another who is down in grade and should also be out of the firing line early on.

16:10 - HANDYTALK (3) didn't manage to win during his three-year-old campaign last season, but ran a couple of races that make him interesting from this sort of mark (10 lb lower in the handicap than when he started last season). His reappearance at Leicester was encouraging - he lead the disadvantaged near-side group for much of the race - and he should appreciate this big drop in grade here today.

16:45 - Not many of these make much appeal but PHAROH JAKE (2) is consistent enough at this sort of level, and arrives here on the back of a string of good efforts over this C&D, including a second last time. He may well find one or two too good again, but looks solid for Placepot purposes.

17:20 - A few interesting potential improvers here as can be expected from a three-year-old handicap at this time of year. Those include favourite Arab Moon, who improved to win at Kempton last time, as well as Starshell, who is upped markedly in trip in line with his pedigree for his handicap debut. Curtsy is also entitled to improve on her fourth here last time, too (still green).

Recommendation:

Win back MAD ENDEAVOUR in the 15:10

Placepot permutation:

14:10 - 6
14:40 - 6, 8
15:10 - 1
15:40 - 1, 7
16:10 - 3
16:45 - 2
