Timeform take you through the card at Leicester on Sunday...
"...all looks set fair for another big run in her follow-up bid..."
Timeform on Giving Glances
14:00 - MASSAM (4) likely has more to offer for the Mark Johnston yard if his pedigree is anything to go by (by Dubawi and out of a Group 3-winning two-year-old) and could be the way to go in this opening leg of the Placepot, though there are interesting newcomers, such as Madkhal, Red Armada and Noble Ancestry, and a strong market move for one or more of those would put a slightly different slant on things.
14:35 - ROTHERHITHE (7) and Sultan Baybars really ought to dominate on these terms, for all that neither is bombproof, with marginal preference for the former in receipt of 11 lb.
15:10 - GIVING GLANCES (3) resumed her progress with a decisive victory at Lingfield two weeks ago, hitting the front a furlong out and keeping on well to win by two lengths. Alan King's Charge has a 7 lb rise in the weights to contend with here, but she could yet have more to offer after just seven starts, especially given how strongly she finished on her first try over this trip last time (recorded good closing sectional), and all looks set fair for another big run in her follow-up bid.
15:45 - LUCKY LUCKY MAN (4) was well backed and showed a good attitude to regain the winning thread at Newcastle last time, always in control when hitting the front inside the final furlong. A consistent sort, a repeat of that form puts him right in the mix on weight-adjusted ratings here, and with Tony Hamilton taking over in the saddle from a 7 lb claimer, he looks sure to give another good account for the Richard Fahey yard that does really with its runners at this venue (20% strike rate since 2014).
16:20 - RECOLLECT (2) had more in hand than the margin would suggest when getting off the mark in a C&D handicap three weeks ago, so his follow-up claims from 4 lb higher appear to be bright in this penultimate leg of the Placepot. Ragstone View and Makambe weren't seen to best effect last time so head the opposition.
16:50 - AFFLUENCE (8) shaped better than the bare result when fourth on his most recent outing at Newbury, forced to deliver his challenge from further back than ideal and doing extremely well under the circumstances to be beaten just two and three quarter lengths. He certainly showed enough to suggest he is on a good mark at present and looks sure to take all the beating if building on that in first-time blinkers here. Nampara and Faithful Promise complete the shortlist.
17:25 - DAVID'S BEAUTY (8) has been a model of consistency this season and can land another C&D handicap. Perfect Symphony looks ready to win again and is feared most ahead of Compton Poppy.
