Timeform take you through the card at Kempton on Wednesday...

"His performance that day was almost faultless and he is already a serious contender for the Champion Chase at the Festival in March..."

12:45 - An open juvenile event to open the card, with several likely types representing top yards. Alan King does well with his juveniles, though, and REDICEAN (6), who ran to a useful level when winning his final start on the Flat for David O'Meara, ought to go close if transferring that ability to jumps. Salix won a weak Flat race in France but represents top connections and needs a market check. Along with Kings Inn.

13:30 - Hard to get away from the claims of SHANTOU ROCK (3) who lost little in defeat at Warwick last time and is fancied to quickly resume winning ways. He ran to a useful level when making a winning start in this sphere in October and should have too much for the likes of Tommy Silver and The Unit.

13:55 - The thriving mare JESTER JET (4) has won four of her last seven starts and looks set to go close again back against her own sex. Admittedly, this looks and open handicap, with Midnight Tune and Midnight Tour both solid operators, but the booking of Noel Fehily catches the eye on Jester Jet and she is worth chancing.

14:30 - Not the strongest renewal of this Grade 2. Special Tiara returns in search of his third win in this race, but if POLITOLGUE (1) turns up in the same form which saw him win the Tingle Creek at Sandown last time then he will prove hard to beat. His performance that day was almost faultless and he is already a serious contender for the Champion Chase at the Festival in March.

15:05 - The bold-jumping BRANDON HILL (6) shaped promisingly when second on his Ascot stable debut/reappearance last month and is taken to build on that and make it three wins from just six starts over fences. Tintern Theatre is a lightly-raced sort who likely has more to offer, while Pilgrims Bay landed a valuable event on his last visit here and arrives on the back of a decent run in the Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury.

15:40 - CHATEZ (10) proved that all his ability remains intact when finishing runner-up in a handicap on the Flat in October, and he's of strong interest back in this sphere off a potentially lenient mark. Dexcite should be sharper following his reappearance spin at Doncaster and looks a live danger, while Templier and likely improvers Demon D'Aunou and Mister Malarky are others worth noting.

Recommendation:

Win back BRANDON HILL (6) in the 15:05 at Kempton

Placepot permutation:

12:45 - 6
13:20 - 3
13:55 - 4
14:30 - 1
15:05 - 6
15:40 - 10
