18:10 - TRANSMITTING (5) still didn't look the finished article when fourth on his most recent outing at Chelmsford in October and could have more to offer now starting out for the Ed Walker yard. Indeed, he makes his return from seven months off the track in what looks a weak enough race and, with Cameron Noble good value for his 3 lb claim, Transmitting would appear to hold sound claims and makes most appeal with the Placepot in mind.

18:40 - MARGHERITA (13) showed a fair level of ability when third on her seasonal debut at Wolverhampton and shaped as if the drop back to this trip would be in her favour. That form already sets a clear standard here and, with trainer Roger Varian in such fine form at present (nine winners from last 34 runners), Margherita looks impossible to oppose and is taken to open her account at the third time of asking.

19:10 - DI FEDE (1) shaped well when fifth on his racecourse debut at Salisbury and that form leaves him 2 lb clear of those with previous experience on Timeform ratings here. The newcomers Scandaleuse and Sensory make plenty of appeal on pedigree, but Di Fede is entitled to improve with that initial experience under his belt and looks sure to play a hand in the finish.

19:40 - REGICIDE (7) produced a career-best effort to get off the mark at Lingfield last month and is bred to be capable of better still in handicaps. Indeed, he makes his debut in this sphere from what could prove to be a lenient mark this evening and makes most appeal for a trainer with a terrific record with his runners at this track. Wadigor was most impressive when making a successful handicap debut at Newmarket in October and is an obvious danger.

20:10 - NORTH CREEK (7) shaped encouragingly when fifth on his return from over six months off the track at Chelmsford and is preferred to the hat-trick seeking Commodity, who made hard work of landing the odds at Yarmouth last time. Meanwhile, GOLDEN WEDDING (8) has been placed in three of his last four starts and is another to consider from the same mark as when second at Lingfield 12 days ago.

20:40 - HELFIRE (2) had been shaping up well during the second half of last year and is taken to resume her progress this evening, having left the impression the run was needed when fifth on her return to action at Chelmsford. She is joined in the Placepot by BROUGHTONS FANCY (8), who wasn't seen to best effect when third at Brighton last time and can race off the same mark as when previously second at Wolverhampton.

21:10 - ARCTIC ANGEL (1) surpassed the form shown in his first two starts and was noted doing good late work when runner-up at Wolverhampton in December. Equipped with a first-time hood, he likely has more to offer now handicapping and gets the vote.

Recommendation:

Win back REGICIDE in the 19:40 at Kempton

Placepot permutation:

18:10 - 5
18:40 - 13
19:10 - 1
19:40 - 7
20:10 - 7, 8
20:40 - 2, 8
