"The form of his latter win at Wolverhampton could hardly have worked out better..."

Timeform on Stringybark Creek

17:55 - RESHAAN (10) produced his best effort so far when fourth on debut here and, though disappointing on turf subsequently, he may well be worth chancing to bounce back now handicapping with his pedigree/connections an ongoing recommendation. Paco's Prince looks the type to do better now handicapping, as does Angelina d'Or for all the draw could have keen kinder towards the latter.

18:25 - JAWWAAL (2) had the benefit of a good position but he still scored with a good degree of authority at Lingfield 12 days ago and, with further progress a distinct possibility, he is fancied to follow up in this second leg of the Placepot. Kaanoon is an appealing newcomer and along with Motajaasid, heads the dangers.

18:55 - MERSEY (7) shaped well when second on her debut at Salisbury 23 days ago, never nearer than at the finish after running green over two furlongs out. She looks sure to improve with that experience under her belt and can go one place better, though several newcomers appeal on paper, chief amongst them La Pelosa, Atwaar and Chaleur.

19:25 - DASH OF SPICE (8) produced his best effort so far when second after four months off at Epsom last time, beaten only by a highly-progressive rival and certainly showing enough to suggest his own mark is a fair one. Indeed, he remains open to further progress after just four starts, with a smart pedigree (closely-related to the smart pair Dashing Star and Barshiba) to call upon, too, and looks sure to take all the beating under Silvestre de Sousa here, with Buzz feared most of the remainder.

19:55 - KINGSTON KURRAJONG (11) is running well at present, including when beaten just a length from this mark over C&D last month, and makes most appeal for Placepot purposes here, back down to a class 4. Pike Corner Cross is worth another chance to build on his belated return, while Casement may have more to offer this season.

20:25 - STRINGYBARK CREEK (6) was below form when third on his most recent outing at Brighton, but he possibly paid the price for racing too close to the strong pace on that occasion, and cannot be discounted here if returning to the form of his back-to-back wins on the all-weather in March. The form of his latter win at Wolverhampton could hardly have worked out better (runner-up has won his last two starts), and he could have still more to offer, lightly raced for this yard after all.

20:55 - CHETAN (4) has failed to add to his tally since landing a quick-fire hat-trick in September, but he has been shaping up quite nicely and is back on a good mark again. He's narrowly preferred to Fortune And Glory in the finale.
