17:15 - Considering that those with experience don't set the bar too high, it would be no surprise should a newcomer prove good enough to take this, and preference is for MINUTY (11), who makes plenty of appeal on paper at this level (first foal: dam, 5f winner, half-sister to smart 5f/6f winner Mirza), and her prominence in the market this morning is encouraging. Merchant of Venice is another newcomer to consider, whilst Sunshine Coast and Tamerlane both possess scope for improvement and are the pick of those with experience.
17:45 - JADEERAH (8) shaped with considerable promise on her debut at Newmarket at the beginning of the month, no match for an exciting winner, but comfortably seeing off the rest. The daughter of Frankel is open to more improvement yet, and she could be another winner for the in-form John Gosden team. Shimmering Dawn has shown fair form in two starts so far and should pick up a race before long, whilst Dupioni has to be taken seriously back in calmer waters after contesting a listed race 3 weeks ago.
18:15 - Inhale's solid effort to finish third on debut at Lingfield at the beginning of the month means she's popular in the market this morning, but preference is for the newcomer SHE'S GOT YOU (13), who is bred to be smart (half-sister to several winners, including high-class winner up to 1m Tamarkuz). John Gosden has a 27% strike rate with 2-y-os on the all-weather this year and it would be no surprise should she be good enough to make a winning start.
18:45 - AQUANURA (1) is strictly winless after three starts, but the form of his most recent start, when third at Yarmouth in September, is working out well, when only beaten a length by subsequent Group 1 winner Royal Meeting. That run suggests his opening mark is a fair one, and he is preferred to Newcastle-winner Frederickbarbarosa, who remains open to improvement and is unlikely to go down without fight. Private Rocket is best of the rest.
19:15 - EDEN GARDENS (3) has been eased into his career in three starts so far, catching the eye when fifth on his most recent start at Lingfield in October, looking the type to have been brought along with handicaps in mind, not knocked about and nearest at the finish that day. He looks sure to improve off a reasonable opening mark, and the step up in trip will suit for his in-form stable. Goodwood Sonnet likewise almost certainly has a race in him from his current mark and he's feared most ahead of Padmavati.
19:45 - RAMPANT LION (10) wasted no time on returning to form on his first start for William Jarvis at Lingfield last week, keeping on to finish a close second. Quickly turned out off the same mark, he has a fair bit in hand on the assessor, and gets the vote to go one better for his new trainer- with the fitting of cheekpieces expected to eke out some improvement. Oud Metha Bridge is just 2 lb higher than when scoring over C&D in February and he looks dangerous, while the unexposed Ring Dancer is also accorded respect.
20:15 - BLISTERING BOB (4) caught the eye when bouncing back to form at Wolverhampton after 11 weeks off at the end of last month, keeping on well to finish fifth under a hands-and-heels ride from a hopeless position. He looks worth persevering with at this distance, with his career still in its infancy, and he could well have more to offer this winter with that under his belt. Miss Blondell and Perfect Refuge can also get involved.
20:45 - Whilst IMPERIAL COURT (8) got within a whisker of breaking his duck here last week, he was slightly flattered to do so considering how progressive that rival is. It was still a good effort however and he can confirm himself well treated from the same mark. Point In Time and Cross My Mind head the opposition.
