Timeform on Morosini
SHUMAKER - 14:35 Punchestown
SHUMAKER is taken to follow-up his comfortable win at Fairyhouse on Saturday, when forging clear in the closing stages to win by five lengths. On that evidence, he is potentially well-in under a 5-lb penalty here, and, still relatively unexposed in the context of this race, everything looks set fair for another big run if this doesn't come too soon. Tomeric arrives here on the back of a career-best effort at Roscommon and heads the list of dangers on handicap debut, along with Iamastartoo and Let The Heirs Walk.
MOROSINI - 15:10 Punchestown
MOROSINI shaped well when third in a valuable handicap at Listowel last month, travelling strongly for a long way and likely to have finished second but for a mistake at the last. He's progressed with each of his three starts this season, and with the prospect of even more to come now up in trip, this looks a good opportunity for him to get back to winning ways. Shadow Seven rates as the biggest danger after getting off the mark over timber at Clonmel last time, while the thriving Lucky Road is also respected in his four-timer bid.
BALKO DES FLOS - 16:15 Punchestown
BALKO DES FLOS was below his very best for the most part in 2018/19, but he ended the campaign with a better effort when third to Kemboy in the Bowl Chase at Aintree in April. That form sets the clear standard on weight-adjusted ratings here and he should be hard to be beat if running to a similar level on his return for Henry de Bromhead, who has won two of the last three renewals of this race. Alpha des Obeaux rates the main threat ahead of Tout Est Permis, who remains open to improvement as a chaser.
