Future Proof - 13:40 Punchestown
Future Proof arrives on the back of a couple of solid efforts on the Flat, twice finishing placed at Leopardstown, and he looks to be well treated on his handicap hurdle debut. He took well to this discipline last season and proved consistent, finishing runner-up three times in a row without appearing to do a lot wrong, and he could yet do better in this sphere. Noel Meade's runners continue to go well and Future Proof can provide him with another winner.
Hereditary Rule - 14:15 Punchestown
Winning pointer Hereditary Rule shaped with some promise when fifth on his hurdling debut at Roscommon and took a big step forward to finish runner-up at Tramore last time. He was unable to threaten the odds-on favourite but pulled well clear of the third, benefiting from the step up in trip. He remains open to plenty of improvement and is expected to give a good account. Enfant du Mou is an unknown quantity but won a point and has joined Willie Mullins so has to be respected.
Deputy's Pass - 15:50 Punchestown
Deputy's Pass has been lightly raced in recent seasons but looks to be on a fair mark and shaped with promise at Wexford last time. He was eventually beaten nearly 12 lengths in fifth but ran better than the distance beaten would suggest, holding every chance before making a mistake at the second-last. He should be fitter with that run under his belt and is worth chancing at a big price. Fruits of Glory ended a long losing run when successful over C&D last time and is among the main dangers.
