FIRST THING showed the benefit of his debut with an improved third at Listowel last time, arguably deserving of extra credit on the day, too, having fared much the best of those held up. That form is amongst the best on offer in this line-up, and with further improvement on the cards, he is taken to open his account now back at six furlong with his yard among the winners. Schroders Mistake has a race in her, while Katie Bo Kat and Estepona Sun are a couple of interesting newcomers.

BIGGER AND BETTER - 18:15 Fairyhouse

BIGGER AND BETTER caught the eye in a big way when second at Listowel 11 days ago, left with too much to do and ultimately doing well to finish as close as he did, never nearer than the two and a quarter lengths he was beaten at the line. Clearly still in form, he could be the way to go with a further 5 lb rise in the weights offset by the claim of a young rider who has looked good value in recent weeks. Evasive Power ran well at Wolverhampton on Saturday and has a big chance if backing that up, with Syrena another to note.

TAURAN SHAMAN - 18:45 Fairyhouse

A race containing a good deal of depth, with the unbeaten TAURAN SHAMAN fancied to complete the hat-trick. He found the requisite improvement to land a gamble at Galway on his most recent start and, with the step up to a mile and a quarter expected to unlock further improvement, all looks set fair for another big run. Major Reward, Cosmis Horizon and Metier are another trio of three-year-olds heading up the dangers.
