Timeform head to Dundalk for their three best bets on Friday evening...

Timeform on Hit The Bid
FESTINA PLENTE - 18:45 Dundalk
FESTINA PLENTE has been a model of consistency in recent months, hitting the frame in each of her last five starts. Johnny Murtagh's charge has gone up plenty in the weights as a result, but she showed herself to still be on a workable mark when third over C&D last time, going down by less than two lengths, and there is no reason why she shouldn't be thereabouts once again. Never Back Down took a step back in the right direction on his most recent outing and is fancied to emerge as the chief threat, ahead of Katiymann, Ahlan Bil Zain and All The King's Men.
SAYESSE - 19:45 Dundalk
SAYESSE took advantage of a drop in the weights on just his second start for this yard at Gowran Park on Monday, travelling strongly in the first-time blinkers to lead over a furlong out and quickly forging clear, ultimately winning by three and a half lengths with plenty in hand. That form sets the clear standard on weight-adjusted ratings here, even with his 6 lb penalty taken into account, and he looks sure to mount a bold follow-up bid if handling the quick turnaround. Magic Fountain, who is bred to be a lot better than a mark of 69, and Fascinating Spirit complete the shortlist.
HIT THE BID - 20:15 Dundalk
HIT THE BID was second in this race in 2018 and didn't need to improve to go one better 12 months ago, digging deep under pressure to get the verdict by half a length. Admittedly, he has been a bit below that form for the most part this time round, but his latest third in this grade at Newbury represented his best effort for a while, and, having landed the plum draw in stall 1, this looks an excellent opportunity for him to rediscover the winning touch. British raiders El Astronaute and Dream Shot could be the ones to give the selection most to do.
