Timeform have found three horses worth backing at Down Royal this evening...
Easy Vic hasn't been with his current yard for long, but he has shaped well on all four starts and was actually the first horse to pass the post at Limerick last time, but he was demoted to second due to hampering The Blarney Rose...
Tony Martin and Ruby Walsh team up with Easy Vic, and the nine-year-old gelding can land the two-and-a-half miles handicap hurdle at 18:45. Easy Vic hasn't been with his current yard for long, but he has shaped well on all four starts and was actually the first horse to pass the post at Limerick last time, but he was demoted to second due to hampering The Blarney Rose. He still looks leniently treated racing from a 4-lb higher mark this is a good opportunity for the son of Old Vic to make amends.
Dermot Weld looks to have found the well-bred Peace Accord a nice opportunity on his return and he can land a weak-looking maiden at 19:50. Peace Accord's dam and grandam both won the Cheveley Park Stakes and while Peace Accord probably won't be up to that level, he should be good enough to account for his rivals tonight. He was simply far too green to do himself justice on his only start last year and there is the potential for a lot better this term.
Our final SmartPlay runs in the last race on the card (20:50) as we side with the David Marnane-trained Ndege Tamu. The four-year-old filly was starting to look exposed on the all-weather over the winter, but she returned from a short break with couple of decent efforts in April, and looks one to keep eye on now switched back to turf.
