Roi du Mee got the better of a tussle with Foildubh in the Boobyjo Chase at Fairyhouse last month, and he's expected to come out on top again...
Wexford 14:05 - Skilled
Fair Flat performer Skilled caught the eye on his hurdling debut - first start for the Elliott yard - at Navan recently, keeping on well into third without being able to land a blow. His jumping should benefit from that initial experience and he's likely to be a different proposition with a run under his belt.
Down Royal 16:45 - Roi du Mee
Roi du Mee got the better of a tussle with Foildubh in the Boobyjo Chase at Fairyhouse last month, and he's expected to come out on top again. The strong-travelling Foildubh looked like overhauling Roi du Mee at Fairyhouse, but Gordon Elliott's charge responded gamely to pressure, and you suspect that today's slightly longer trip will be in his favour. Roi du Mee's operating at the top of his game at present and can land the hat-trick.
Wexford 17:00 - Alderwood
Alderwood may be without a win since landing a gamble in the 2013 Grand Annual, but he still remains a smart chaser and looks to have been found a good opportunity to bounce back to winning ways. Some shoddy rounds of jumping have seen Alderwood fail to match expectations on occasion, but he's on a fair mark and has had a couple of confidence-boosting spins over hurdles, so is well worth siding with.
