We're at Ballinrobe for Tuesday's Irish SmartPlays.
"Following on from Rae’s Creek in the opener, Riverside City could land a double for JP McManus in the 19:20."
In the 17:45, Rae's Creek has some good Flat form to his name, including a clear course win over the reliable Dalasiri last time out. This is his first start over hurdles, but he looks the class act of today's field and should score if taking to the jumps. The main threat could come from Elishpour, who also has solid Flat form from France, though he has so far failed to impress over hurdles and is more exposed than the selection.
Cebuano has only had the one start over hurdles, but the form of his second to Empire of Dirt in a Punchestown Maiden could well be good enough to take the 18:15. Recent course scorer Alton Bay head the dangers, though may lack the pace of the selection, while Little Rocky appears to save his best for the Flat.
Following on from Rae's Creek in the opener, Riverside City could land a double for JP McManus in the 19:20. His improving hurdles form was rewarded with a win over today's two-and-a-half-mile trip when last seen and he is entitled to come on again. Grand Partner is another with a progressive profile who scored last time out. This victory came over two miles however so it is Riverside City who gets the vote.
