Saturday's Irish SmartPlays action comes from Navan.
Last seen back in April when clearly yet to recover from his Cheltenham exertions... Make A Track will have no problems with conditions and is capable of going close on his return to action.
Giant's Quest looks worth siding with in the opening 14:30 maiden hurdle contest. The Giant's Causeway gelding was below par when last seen over hurdles for D P Kelly (reportedly lame) in May, but had made a pleasing-enough start to life over timber previously when placed over C&D back in March. An encouraging fifth in handicap at Down Royal on the Flat earlier this month starting out for Harry Rogers, he is worth another chance to confirm his debut effort and should go well at morning prices.
Next up is Gigginstown's Make A Track in the 15:35 Albany Hurdle. Last seen back in April when clearly yet to recover from his Cheltenham exertions (had finished fourth behind Attaglance in the Martin Pipe three weeks previously), the Hernando gelding will have no problems with conditions and is capable of going close on his return to action. He boasts previous course form in the shape of a third-placed finish in a Grade 2 novice hurdle behind Mount Benbulben last November and rates a solid proposition at morning odds.
Finally, Give Us A Hand is fancied to oblige for punters in the 16:05 handicap hurdle. He looks well treated in this sphere off a mark of 88 in relation to his chasing exploits, and should appreciate the step up in trip having shaped well over an inadequate Two miles last time. With Ruby Walsh on board he can have no better man doing the steering, and he looks capable of a decent showing in what is a race large in quantity over quality.
