Timeform Irish SmartPlays: Time of My Life to dance home

Roscommon is the backdrop for today's Irish SmartPlays

The Timeform Irish team put forward three SmartPlays for tonight's mixed meeting at Roscommon....

Time of My Life looked to have stacks in hand of the handicapper that day and will prove very difficult to beat under a penalty this evening.

First up this evening is the Aidan O'Brien-trained Battle of Saratoga in the opening maiden. It would be fair to say that Battle of Saratoga is not exactly one of his yard's leading lights, indeed, he has failed to find the winner's enclosure on his previous six starts. However, tonight's race does not look the strongest maiden in the world and he is expected to go very close in first-time blinkers.

Next up is Time Of My Life who failed to live up to his expensive price tag in three starts as a juvenile but looked an entirely different prospect when bolting up in a mile-and-a-half handicap at Wexford on Saturday. Time of My Life looked to have stacks in hand of the handicapper that day and will prove very difficult to beat under a penalty this evening.

Finally, we come to Silverhand who has won on the level and four times over hurdles and is expected to get off the mark over fences at the second attempt. The Noel Meade-trained gelding proved he retained all of his ability when finishing a fine fourth in the County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March. Silverhand was a disappointing fourth on his chasing debut when last seen, but is expected to do better with that experience behind him and can reverse form with Benash who finished second in the same race.
