There's racing at Cork on Thursday and Timeform have identified three horses worth backing.
Akira achieved a useful level of form for her previous handler and it's possible that the switch to Aidan O'Brien might coax a bit of improvement.
Cork 15:35 - Calm Bay
The booking of Pat Smullen aboard Calm Bay is an eye-catching one, particularly as the horse shaped best of those in the near-side group at Navan on his latest start. All seven of Calm Bay's victories have come at the minimum distance and, 2 lb lower than his last winning mark, he could well be worth chancing.
Cork 16:40 - Set To Fire
The promising Set To Fire showed improved form on her nursery bow when only narrowly denied at Gowran Park last time, faring best of those held up, and, with a stronger pace to aim at here, she is taken to get off the mark, the step up to a mile likely to be in her favour.
Cork 17:15 - Akira
Akira achieved a useful level of form for her previous handler and it's possible that the switch to Aidan O'Brien might coax a bit of improvement. Akira arrives in decent heart having followed up an unlucky fourth in a listed event here - every chance when shuffled back a furlong out - with a respectable effort in a Group 3 at the Curragh, and she should find this easier.
