Timeform's Irish team bring you their three best bets from Leopardstown on Thursday evening...
"Brendan Brackan looked on the way back when second in a similar event here last month and is the one to keep on side..."
We kick off proceedings with a handicap over a mile at Leopardstown (19:00) and given that Pit Stop, who was a winner on the all-weather on his debut, shaped better than the bare result in his first try in handicap company last time, he gets the vote. Further progress looks sure to be on the cards and if he has come on for the run at Naas last time, he looks potentially well-treated and should be hard to beat.
It's another handicap over a mile up next (19:30) and in truth recent winning form is in fairly short supply. However Have A Nice Day has only been shouldered with a 6 lb rise for his success at Roscommon last time, and shouldn't be inconvenienced by the extra furlong he encounters this evening. The slightly sounder surface won't cause him any headaches either and he looks to have the best chance in a race which few turn up in any sort of form.
The final bet on the card comes in the Group 3 Ballycorus Stakes over seven furlongs (20:05) and Brendan Brackan looked on the way back when second to Mustajeeb in a similar event here last month and is the one to keep on side. The winner scored well at Royal Ascot yesterday, which clearly does the form no harm, and if Brendan Brackan can replicate that level of form he should have more than enough in the locker to account for this evening's rivals.
