Timeform Irish SmartPlays: Thursday July 25

Flat racing from Leopardstown provides us with two of tonight's SmartPlays

Jumps action from Limerick and Flat racing from Leopardstown provide the action for today's Irish SmartPlays...

"Heirloom (20:30) is trusted to improve on his All-Weather win now he finds himself in handicap company..."

The two-and-a-half-mile mares novice hurdle (17:55) at Limerick is the first race under consideration, where Cailin Annamh gets the nod. She should be suited by the extra two furlongs and looks to have found an ideal opportunity to follow up her Wexford win. Ourbeautifuldream, Chiltern Hills and Goodoldhonkytonk can battle it out for minor honours.

The eight-furlong handicap (18:50) at Leopardstown is a tricky one to assess but it may be best to side with Zelie Martin who looks well treated at the weights with the re-opposing Glen Ginnie, and appears less exposed than that rival. Conversational often runs her race in defeat and looks set for a minor role again.

We stay at Leopardstown for the last of today's Irish SmartPlays, where Heirloom (20:30) is trusted to improve on his all-weather win now he finds himself in handicap company, but looks open to improvement after only three starts and is the pick. Donatis Comet and and Leah Claire look the two most likely to deny him back-to-back victories.
