Limerick provide the Irish racing on Saturday and Timeform suggest three bets...
The John Oxx-trained Tarana has shown run-to-run progress and the way she stuck to her task when splitting Inis Meain and Parish Hall in the 10-furlong Alleged Stakes would indicate that the step up to one and a half miles will be in her favour
The Aidan O'Brien yard is starting to kick into gear and his once-raced maiden Table Rock can take the opening contest (14:25). Table Rock made just the one start as a juvenile and he shaped with real promise, nearly overcoming obvious signs of inexperience as he stayed on well to take second in a Curragh maiden. That was a most encouraging performance, one which marked him down as a banker for a similar race, and he ought to open his account here.
Tarana has only made the three starts in her lightly-raced career but she has already shown a useful level of form and makes plenty of appeal in the feature listed race at 16:45. The John Oxx-trained Tarana has shown run-to-run progress and the way she stuck to her task when splitting Inis Meain and Parish Hall in the 10-furlong Alleged Stakes would indicate that the step up to one and a half miles will be in her favour. With so few miles on the clock, Tarana remains open to further progress and she can get the better of Inis Meain this afternoon.
The Dermot Weld-trained Hellenistic took a step forward in form terms when finishing third on her handicap bow at Dundalk last time and she can continue her progress by landing the extended 11-furlong handicap at 17:20. Hellenistic has yet to race beyond a mile - or on turf, for that matter - but the manner in which she stayed on to take third last time indicates that this sort of trip is well within her compass and ought to draw some improvement.
