Timeform provide you with three selections at Limerick's mixed card on Monday...
Sword Fish shaped better than the bare result over an inadequate 17 furlongs at Sligo last time, staying on well in the closing stages from an unpromising position, and, back over a more suitable trip, he can win the 22-furlong handicap chase at 15:20...
Jansboy scored in good style over two miles at Tipperary last week and looks sure to go well in the 14:45, with the step up in trip to 22 furlongs unlikely to pose a problem. Jansboy was a fair performer in bumpers but has already proven better over hurdles and remains capable of better having made just two starts in this sphere. He looks fairly treated on handicap debut and should take a bit of beating.
Sword Fish shaped better than the bare result over an inadequate 17 furlongs at Sligo last time, staying on well in the closing stages from an unpromising position, and, back over a more suitable trip, he can win the 22-furlong handicap chase at 15:20. Sword Fish took advantage of a drop in the weights to land a handicap chase at Fairyhouse last April and, though higher in the weights now, he isn't badly treated, and should give a good account.
Goal has been rejuvenated on the Flat of late and can continue his good run of form by winning the extended 11-furlong handicap at 15:55. A winner at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start, Goal was by no means disgraced at Dundalk on Friday, finishing a creditable fourth having travelled better than most. He looks likely to continue in good form and has strong claims with the excellent Johnny Murtagh booked to take the ride.
