Timeform's Irish team have three more selections for tonight's meeting at Gowran Park...
The form of Swerve's reappearance third on handicap debut at the Curragh has been boosted since...
Dermot Weld's Swerve is bred to be useful and, after creating a good impression in her short career to date, makes a fair bit of appeal in the seven-furlong fillies handicap. She got off the mark at two when landing a Listowel maiden in September and the form of her reappearance third on handicap debut at the Curragh has been boosted since. There is every chance she will improve for that run and, racing from the same mark, she looks the one to beat.
Moscow Treat struggled in 2011 but her handicap mark has dropped dramatically as a result, and she looked on much better terms with herself on her reappearance at Cork last week, second of the 18 runners, beaten only half a length (by the market leader) and well clear of the rest. The handicapper hasn't yet had chance to reassess her for that effort and a repeat, or indeed any improvement, of that form from the same mark should make her hard to beat.
Legendary Times was a similar course-and-distance event to the one she races in tonight last August and, despite the fact that she is now rated much higher, she could be worth chancing again. She has acquitted herself well in all three starts this year, with her best effort coming over a mile on her penultimate start, confirming her liking for the track. The step back up in trip will suit, and she looks solid to go well again.
