Timeform concentrate on the Flat racing from Leopardstown on Sunday, bringing you three bets...
A 7 lb rise in the weights looks fair and Stomachion remains relatively unexposed with the emphasis on stamina, so could yet do better.
Our first bet from Leopardstown on Sunday runs in the seven-furlong nursery at 13:40 as we side with Nasution. Nasution improved on his debut effort to get off the mark over this trip at Listowel, keeping on powerfully close home, and he again progressed when finishing fourth on his nursery debut at Cork (8.45f). He looked sure to be suited by a step up in trip but he shaped as if the extra distance stretched hi stamina and it could be that this greater test of speed will see him return to winning ways.
Old adversaries Parish Boy and Order of St George unsurprisingly vie for favouritism at the head of the market in the 9-furlong listed race at 14:50, however Zafilani, representing Dermot Weld, looked an exciting prospect when winning on debut and can eclipse them both. Zafilani won by less than a length at Tipperary but he was value for plenty more, not getting a clear run until late in the day but impressing with how he quickened to get on top. Zafilani needed little more than a hands-and-heels ride to prevail on debut and is clearly open to stacks of improvement, especially over this sort of trip.
The Sir Michael Stoute-trained Stomachion produced an improved performance when tackling an extended 14 furlongs at Doncaster last time and looks to have leading claims in the November Handicap at 15:25. Stomachion was threatening to become slightly disappointing, but he bounced back to winning ways in fantastic style, responding strongly to pressure as he stayed on powerfully to draw away close home. A 7 lb rise in the weights looks fair and he remains relatively unexposed with the emphasis on stamina, so could yet do better.
