There's a fantastic card an Navan on Sunday, the highlight for many being the return of Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner Douvan, and Timeform have identified the three best bets.
"Empire of Dirt had produced a fluent round of jumping to beat the highly-regarded Champagne James on his previous start, shaping like a horse well ahead of his mark, and he may yet have more to offer as a chaser, still relatively lightly-raced over fences."
Navan 13:10 - Ten Times Better
Ten Times Better won a bumper at Clonmel at the start of last month and made a successful hurdling debut at the same course, jumping fluently and bolting up under a hands-and-heels ride. This will obviously be tougher, up against a number of unexposed and potentially-useful rivals, but Ten Times Better is entitled to a crack at this grade and is an interesting contender with Ruby Walsh in the saddle again.
Navan 14:40- Empire of Dirt
Empire of Dirt failed to make it beyond the first when well backed for the Irish Grand National on his latest start, but he has the look of a well-handicapped horse and can make a winning return to action. Empire of Dirt had produced a fluent round of jumping to beat the highly-regarded Champagne James on his previous start, shaping like a horse well ahead of his mark, and he may yet have more to offer as a chaser, still relatively lightly-raced over fences.
Navan 15:10 - Russian Bill
Russian Bill shaped as if in need of the run when finishing a creditable fifth on his return to action at Naas earlier in the month, still nearer last than first entering the straight before keeping on well late, and he looks well worth a crack at this kind of trip. Russian Bill remains relatively unexposed, particularly with the emphasis on stamina, and he may well be capable of better yet.
