Timeform's Irish team take a look at Sunday's all-hurdle card from Gowran Park.
"Bensoon has been in good form on the level recently and, with Barry Geraghty aboard for this hurdles bow, is preferred here."
In the 15:15, Hurricane Ridge and Zabana have already shown themselves to be adept at this game, but if Bensoon and Fluctuate produce something akin to their best Flat form at the first time of asking over hurdles they could easily emerge as the chief protagonists. While Fluctuate is arguably the better long-term prospect, Bensoon has been in good form on the level recently and, with Barry Geraghty aboard for this hurdles bow, is preferred here.
Half an hour later there's a 20-runner handicap, which we're going to chance our arm in with the Martin Brassil-trained Celestial Prospect. Although perhaps not a star in the making, he won on the Flat last month and, though 9 lb higher compared to when scoring in this sphere at Wexford in October, he's only had five starts over hurdles and could have more to offer. Takeyourcapoff, Usa and the thriving Fiery Oscar are all feared, while Caolaneoin is a player, too.
We're going for another handicap pick at 16:45, this time the perhaps more obvious Mac Tigue. He doesn't always put his best foot forward, but ran as well as he can last time, falling at the last when three lengths clear at Fairyhouse (2m). Blinkers on again and Ruby Walsh booked make him a major player.
