J.P McManus can enjoy a successful day at Leopardstown on Sunday

Timeform provide you with three selections on a top-class day of racing at Leopardstown.

"Grade 1-winning chaser Gilgamboa made a satisfactory return to action when finishing third behind Djakadam in the John Durkan, finishing to good effect having been briefly outpaced, and he looks likely to improve for this stiffer test of stamina."

Leopardstown 13:45 - Long Dog

Long Dog just got the better of a rousing battle with stable companion Bachasson when winning the Grade 1 Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse, completing a five-timer in the process, and he is expected to confirm that form and extend his winning sequence. Long Dog attracted plenty of support prior to the Royal Bond and although he only narrowly prevailed, Rich Ricci's novice always seemed to be getting the best of the battle. Gigginstown duo Tombstone and Petit Mouchoir are exciting prospects and shouldn't be dismissed out of hand, but Long Dog sets the standard and is the one to beat.

Leopardstown 14:20 - Copy That

Copy That won with more in hand than the winning margin would suggest at Galway last time, and he can follow up that success with the excellent Jack Kennedy's valuable 5-lb claim helping to offset a rise in the weights. Copy That remains unexposed having made just the two starts in handicap company, and the powerful manner with which he travelled at Galway suggests that he's the type to carry on improving for a while yet. Wes Hardin heads a lengthy list of dangers, but Copy That has a good bit in his favour and ought to launch a bold bid.

Leopardstown 14:55 - Gilgamboa

Leading owner J.P McManus holds a strong hand in this ultra-competitive handicap, launching an eight-strong green-and-gold battalion, and the nod is given to the unexposed Gilgamboa. Grade 1-winning chaser Gilgamboa made a satisfactory return to action when finishing third behind Djakadam in the John Durkan, finishing to good effect having been briefly outpaced, and he looks likely to improve for this stiffer test of stamina. Gilgamboa makes his first start in a handicap chase from a fair-looking mark with an excellent young rider claiming 5 lb, and he can stamp his class over his rivals.
