The Timeform Irish team highlight three horses for tonight's meeting at Sligo....
With the step back up to 6f expected to suit, September Lily looks capable of landing this off her current mark.
First up this evening is Buccaneer Bob, who lines up in the claimer at 18:20. The Ger Lyons-trained gelding showed fair form last season in maidens prior to impressively landing a handicap at Navan in May 2011. He largely held his form afterwards and, although he has not been seen since running creditably in December, this represents a significant drop in class, the four-year-old hopefully capable of taking this if anywhere near his best.
The fillies' handicap at 18:50 looks a tight affair, with a number of participants in decent heart. September Lily has yet to win a race in six attempts, but she shaped well when 1½ lengths second of 10 to Chois The Idea in a 5f maiden at Down Royal last time. That form has been franked by the winner since and, with the step back up to 6f expected to suit, September Lily looks capable of landing this off her current mark.
The final race on the card is a small-field maiden and, whilst Truthwillsetufree is likely to prove a warm order, it could pay to side with Zalantoun. The John Oxx-trained colt hails from a family that connections have had plenty of success with and ran creditably when ¾-length fourth to Vedani at the Curragh on his reappearance. Zalantoun stayed on well that day after conceding first run and, given he is entitled to have come on for that outing, he will prove difficult to beat this evening.
