An afternoon of mixed-code action from Killarney provides Saturday's Irish SmartPlays...
"The meeting will have switched to the Flat by the time SmartPlay number three rolls around, but hurdles form still plays a part in our selection process."
The Grade C handicap hurdle at 14:35 starts us off. It's a very competitive affair in which a chance is given to recent C&D winner Tribes And Banner, who confirmed his well-being back over fences last time and should take the return to hurdling in his stride. Both King High and Top Madam are live threats in what looks a minefield for the places.
It's another handicap hurdle 35 minutes later that contains our second bet. Baidin Fheilimi has shown herself an improved performer of late, finishing fourth at Cork prior to getting off the mark over the same C&D last week. She has an 8 lb rise to contend with, but she is preferred over Kinghenrytheninth and Ballyfinboy.
The meeting will have switched to the Flat by the time SmartPlay number three rolls around, but hurdles form still plays a part in our selection process. Limpopo Tom (15:45)arrives on the back of a good spell over hurdles having landed a two-mile Cork handicap last Sunday. He's also a winner on the all-weather and is very interesting returned to the Flat.
